Description
Its name means ‘Five Treasures of Snow’. Kangchenjunga rises over Sikkim as a guardian peak, and when the first climbers reached it in 1955 they stopped a few steps short of the summit, out of respect for the mountain held sacred below.
This minimalist watercolour artwork shows the peak catching first light above a sea of cloud, with strings of prayer flags fluttering on the ridge below. Soft tones and clean space make it an easy fit for a living room, bedroom, meditation corner or office.
